Mr. Burkhardt:
I have met Jack on several occasions-my wife and I even attended a party function
at his house on Green Tree Rd. During the course of his career Jack has made a long-lasting impact on ours and millions of other American’s lives. Although I have read your notice above regarding a private funeral, are there exceptions being made for others outside of the family? My wife Carol and I would like to attend and express our appreciation for Jack’s contribution to this great country.
Thank You For Your Time

Mr Miltenberger,
With a paid notice in New York Times, there is the opportunity to leave a memorial where the family wants it at legacy.com. Jack’s family need their own time. A request can be sent to the family for a public memorial at a public gathering. Now is not the time for that. The best route to an open memorial service is to have an outpouring of support at legacy.com. In the end it is the decision of the family.
Thanks for your concern, I share it.
