treatment is very close to  the edge of assisted suicide. A do not resuisatate order also is arguably a form of suicide.

Coming to the brink of suicide is not doing the act however. In this case a 66 year old woman with stage 4  pancreatic cancer legally took her death medication, to bring about her own her passing.

Snippet from the Cnn Article:

“Compassion & Choices, an organization that says it advocates choice for the terminally ill, said Linda Fleming of Sequim, took her prescribed medication and died Thursday evening at home with her family, her dog and her physician.”

It was also reported that 401 people used a similar law enacted in 1994.
