The United States Department of Justice has been requested to investigate the Burr Oak Cemetery Scandal. Democrat Representative Bobby Rush has sent a letter to the Attorney General Eric Holder to investigate the Scandal.
At the cemetery the located in Alsip, Illinois up to 300 graves were desecrated. Bodies were dismembered and placed in a pile. There will be an accounting of 100,000 Grave sites in the Investigation. This is truly a national horror.
According to the Chicago, Tribune.
“Unfortunately the damage done to the families and loved ones of those disturbed from their final resting places cannot be undone,” Rush wrote to Holder. “(However,) we owe it to these citizens to ensure those responsible for these reprehensible acts are brought to justice and the mechanisms are put in place to deter this kind of despicable act in the future.”
It will be interested to see if there will be a federal investigation Burr Oak cemetery is in Congressman Rush’s District.
