There will be a “private wake” at the Kennedy Compound on Tuesday night August 11th 2009 for Eunice Shriver the mother of Maria Shriver. She is the sister of JFK, Robert Kennedy and Ted Kennedy. The Kennedy Compound is located in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts. This will be a private family affair. This was reported by the Boston Channel.com. Eunice KennedyShriver is well known for founding the Special Olympics.

Shriver’s body was returned to the compound about noon in black hearse which led an impromptu funeral cortege, with her daughter, California first lady Maria Shriver, riding in the front seat.The family will hold a private wake at the Hyannis Port compound Tuesday night. Funeral arrangements have not yet been completed, although there was word that the service might be held at St. Francis Church.

So far this is the only report of a private viewing, wake,visitation.
