The World’s Largest Funeral Corporation Service Corporation International, has badly mishandled the Edward “Ted” Kennedy Funeral.
Any Mortuary School student or apprentice funeral director could see that the SCI Funeral Director involved dropped the ball. First it must be stated that the military honor guard did their jobs beyond perfection as they most often do!
When the Flag was removed, The Clergy had to ask: do you “have a Pall?” This was a sign of big trouble. The Service Funeral Director always must have the Pallready to be put on the casket(in full view of the Celebrant) in a Catholic Funeral Mass. The Pall was nearby but not immediately visible to the Celebrant.
The Pall was placed on the casket in a manner where it could NOT be unfolded quickly and properly. When watching the Video You can see the FUNERAL DIRECTOR ADJUSTING THE PAL. The family had to UNFOLD and straighten the Pal at the Same time.(Faux Pax)

The SCI Logo's were visible on the Funeral Coahes in Boston but not visible on the hearses used at the burial in Washington DC.
This all happened in front of the nation, the World, President Obama three other living Presidents as well as the Washington Elite!
All this took place at the Funeral Mass in the Mission Church in Boston.(Our Lady of Perpetual Help Basilica).
The Dignity Logo was visible on the the coach that Senator Kennedy was placed in. This was a Service Corporation International Funeral. The Funeral home name on the coach was partially blocked in the live streaming of the Funeral, and it may be that the SCI Hearse involved had nothing to do with the funeral home handling the arrangements.
The World’s Largest Funeral Corporation can add mishandling an historical Kennedy funeral to their string of 2009 woes. That said I am sure the pressure of the moment was extraordinary. Sadly, a bigger funeral disaster was yet to come in the Ted Kennedy Funeral Services.
