Your Funeral Guy,

I have never held back on publishing anything regarding the funeral industry weither it be positive or negitive. If believing that not all funeral directors are crooks then you can gladly label me a sellout like you did on your blog, but I will continue to write my opinions on the funeral industry.

I hope that what I write is incouraging to the industry, I believe funeral directors are honest caring people, yes there are a few bad apples but that doesn’t ruin the whole bunch. The goal of ConnectingDirectors.com is to help inform the industry and progress the industry. I have not turned disregarded any scandal in the industry nor will I start, but I will not stop posting the positives of the industry either. There are funeral directors all over this country blessing millions of people and helping them deal with the worst moments of their lives and those are the funeral directors who make this industry great.

It is sad that you only live for the negitive moments and not the positives.

And then there is my response:

I do not live for the negative moments, but for the positive. A positive moment happened today with the unveiling of the BereavedConsumersProtection Act. http://www.bereavedconsumersprotectionact.com/

What i am objecting to is the way you set up this new site with the elimination of 2YEARS of Back posts-in blogs and forums, POSITIVE and Negative.

I still believe as I state in my book that the majority of Funeral Directors are excellent folks. If the industry representatives keep saying it is only a few bad apples…..that is denial. There are large numbers of bad apples, and some criminals, that ruin the the reputation of all. The bad apples and the criminals need to be stopped if the industry is to survive.

Ryan you have are painting yourself as an authority in the Funeral Industry. You are not a funeral director.Nor have you worked at a funeral home. How can you claim to know what is happening out there? You did build up your authority with the 2 years of posts and forum conversation BY FUNERAL DIRECTORS that are excellent.. In setting up the new site, those constructive conversations on the funeral industry disappeared.

You have done an excellent job on this site and as you know I have links to this site on most of my blogs saying this is a great place. Those links have been there for several years.

The comments are not meant as personal attack. I wish you and Connecting Directors.Com great success and am glad the conversation is continuing. Sadly all the good conversations from the past have disappeared.
