Recently I was pleased to see my Funeral Tips confirmed by a Funeral Industry Leader in North Carolina. The original tips were listed in the book:

"Rest in Peace Insiders Tips to the Low Cost Less Stress Funeral" a "Great Book"-Matt Bacak
Rest in Peace: Insider’s Tips to the Low Cost Less Stress Funeral
Paul Harris, at dig triad.com, executive director of the North Carolina Board of Funeral Service has issued similar tips.
1. Harris: first step in preparing for the cost is research. Step one in Rest in Peace is understanding the funeral process.
2. Harris: said “to preplan.” This is advocated in Rest in Peace, preplan.
3 Harris said “Many Funeral Directors will negotiate.” Rest in Peace reiterates negotiation over and over again.
4. Harris said “Embalming is not required by law in North Carolina” Rest in Peace book says that embalming is not generally required by law in the USA.
5.Harris said “cremation is a more cost-effective alternative to a burial. Rest in Peace book states that Cremation is one of the best lower cost funeral options.
6.Harris said a funeral home cannot refuse something if a family bought it somewhere else. It is stated in Rest in Peace to get your casket or funeral good from an alternative source.
7.Harris said “there is not law that requires a funeral home be involved at all. So, he said, some families might choose to take care of everything themselves, with the exception of embalming.” In Rest in Peace: Insider’s Tips to the Low Cost Less Stress Funeral one is advised to carefully consider the home funeral.
